I hope you like my story.I would describe it as a "light little Christmas ditty"-nothing too heavy or serious. But I have a pretty tough skin after the contests I did (got perfect scores, as well as crappy scores-some people loved my book, and some did not!!) Such is life, and dealing with the criticism is a skill that all writers need to learn. I have to say that it is very nerve-wracking wondering if readers/reviewers will like my book.
It has to come from other readers who enjoyed the story. No one is really listening to an author pimping her own novel. Self-promotion is sort of a waste of time, in my opinion.
